Directions & Parking VERY IMPORTANT Silver Comet 10k 10k Race Start Address: Mableton Kroger - 4875 Floyd Road - Mableton - GA - 30126. Race Number Pick-up begins at 6:00 a.m. Race Day Runners & Walkers are welcome in both of our races - Official Race Day Parking is available at Floyd Middle School & Westside Baptist Church ONLY- Floyd Middle School is just before Kroger on the left. Westside is across the street. Do Not Park in the Kroger Parking lot!! We will not be responsible for vehicles parked at Kroger or Publix & vehicles may be towed! Picadilly in the Publix shopping center doesn't open until 11:00 - so cars away from businesses in that lot will probably be O.K. * Please remember - The 10k ends at the Mavelle Road Trail Head. No Gear Check. Shuttles run from race end location until all participants are returned to the race start location or the Floyd Middle School Parking Area.
Half Marathon Half Marathon Race Start Address: Mable House Art Center - 5239 Floyd Road (vs. Kroger at 4875 Floyd Road) - Mableton - GA - 30126 Race Day Parking is available at the Mable House Arts Center & Amphitheatre. - Do Not Park in the Kroger Parking lot!! ABSOLUTELY NO PARKING AT Bike Depot / Finish Line - Spectators may take the bus down to the finish line after the race start with the fun run participants. Please park @ Floyd Middle school - Just before Kroger on the left. We will not be responsible for vehicles parked at Kroger or Publix & vehicles may be towed! Picadilly in the Publix shopping center doesn't open until 11:00 - so cars away from businesses in that lot will probably be O.K. Directions --Take I-75 or I-85 to I-285 West) Take I-285 W on the top end perimeter, exit South Cobb Drive. Turn northwest heading outside the perimeter. Go 1.5 miles and turn left onto the four lane East -West Connector. After approx 5.0 miles (& crossing under the Silver Comet Trail trestle bridge), turn left onto Hicks Road. After 1 mile & at the 3rd traffic light - turn left onto Floyd Road - Parking is available at Floyd Middle School - .2 miles down Floyd on the left before Kroger at .3 miles on the left & before the Mable House Arts Center at .8 miles down on the left. From Atlanta & West of Atlanta - Take I-20 West to Fulton Industrial Blvd. Exit & turn right (from Atlanta). Turn left (from the West). Go North for 1/2 mile & turn left on Martin Luther King Jr. Drive (GA 139). Go 6 miles - MLK turns into Floyd Road after crossing Hwy 78. The Mable House Art Center/ Amphitheatre will be on your right after the Clay Road Intersection. See map:
Race number pick-up for both races starts at 6:00am race day at the race start location - The Kroger Parking Lot for the 10k & the Mable House Arts Center for the Half Marathon - Races happen rain or shine - no refunds. Early t-shirt pick-up will not be allowed. * Please remember - The 10k ends at the Mavelle Road Trail Head & the Half Marathon ends at the Floyd Road Silver Comet trail head at the Silver Comet Depot. Shuttles run from both locations until all participants are returned to the race start location or the Floyd Middle School Parking Area. |
